    Alaska Pollock is commonly called Walleye pollock, Pacific tomcod and Pacific pollock, is a member of the cod family,Alaska pollock is among the most ubiquitous of North Pacific groundfish, ranging from California to Alaska and across the Aleutians to the waters of Russia, China and Japan.APO Prodcuts are welcomed in almost all the markets in the world,the fillet products can be usually found in the EU,UK,North American markets,the whole round are always used in Chinese and African market.The APO are mostly harvested by the fleets from U.S and Russia,and produced in China,the harvesting area of the APO is FAO61 and FAO67,the APO items produced in China are double frozen products,the main forms of the APO products are fillet,loin,portion,cube,and diamond,the main packaging methods are IQF,BQF and SHP,meanwhile,APO products are also used in the light salted and dry salted products.

     

    Pollock is a mild, delicate-tasting fish, with a slightly coarse texture. Some find it more flavorful than cod or haddock, perhaps because it has a higher oil content. Boneless Alaska pollock fillets are creamy tan in color. Cooked, the lean, moist meat is white and firm, with a nice flake.If you need a white fillet, your odds are much better with single-frozen vs. twice-frozen pollock, which is often grayer. Additionally, deep-skinned (i.e., fat line removed) pollock offers a whiter, They have a similar but somewhat milder flavor as haddock or cod.
